Roll Formed Tubes

MP Metals can roll form tubes from various metals and of several basic designs. Open seam tubes are not closed along the seam, lock seam tubes are crimped closed, and welded tubes are closed with the MIG or TIG welding process. It can include many secondary operations to serve their end use.

A stiffener is defined as anything added to something in order to stiffen it, such as a support beam, or starch for a collar. In one application the part is added to the edges of panels or sheets to add stability and support. Uses are found in construction and industrial markets.
