Rings
Rings are rolled and bent into circular patterns from angles, channels and special shapes. They often are used to join or seal two other parts, such as drums and lids. MP Metals can also weld the ring ends together and finish the seam for a nearly invisible finish for applications such as decorative rings and bezels. Punching, notching and adding latches or connectors are supplemental operations that MP Metals can efficiently perform.
Stainless Roll-formed Flywheel Retainer Ring
5.5" diameter x 1.25" wide, stainless roll formed flywheel retainer ring. This ring is roll formed in 0.008" type 304 stainless steel, such that the finished part is free of foreign material to pass a copper sulfate solution test and meet cleanliness criteria in ASTM A380. A range of other diameters is possible with the same tooling. As a coil-based process, economical production quantities begin around 5,000 lineal feet. Custom lengths are available to meet OEM requirements.

23" diameter, 16 gauge roll formed drum ring. This ring is roll formed in hot dipped galvanized steel for corrosion protection. After forming the profile, the shape is rolled into a ring that matches the diameter of a barrel or drum and latching brackets are attached.
